The Brooke Cap-Toe Service Boot in black calf is our cap-toe service boot built on the Jacka last based on vintage Australian Army design. Crafted with absolute care and made with premium materials, these boots are extremely versatile and durable, as military heritage insists.
Full-grain French calf
Full leather lining
- Flat cotton waxed lacing (differs from product image)
The Brooke Service Boots are constructed using the Goodyear Welted method, considered by shoe enthusiasts as the 'Gold Standard' in shoemaking.
The upper leather, leather lining, and the (leather) welt are stitched to the ribbing, which has already been attached to the insole. The welt will then be stitched to the leather sole. This final stitch can be removed so that the sole can be replaced without damaging the rest of the shoe.
- Closed-channel leather outsole
- Leather mid-sole
- Leather insole
- Cork footbed
- No reconstituted leather used
Service Boots are designed for men (soldiers) who carry heavy loads. Feet expand under such pressure. The Jacka last is taken from an existing British service boot last.
We recommend you select a full size down to your standard UK size.
Always use shoe trees or boot trees when not in use to keep the shoes or boots in shape and to prevent them from creasing.
Apply shoe cream every 3-4 weeks to keep the leather soft and supple.
