Good shoes can come from anywhere in the world and Fugashin proves just that
- The Shoe Snob
In Japanese, there is a word used to express traditional art sensitivity (Fuga). To reflect the spirit and passion of shoemaking, Fuga was combined with Shin. Fugashin, or Elegant Heart, uses its name sake as a value it aspires to, through 'sensibility and 'skill', in all its shoe making activities. In less than a decade, Fugashin has become one of the best ready-to-wear shoemakers in Asia, making meticulously-made shoes that easily pass Japan's highest quality standards.
Fugashin has workshops in Tokyo and Saigon. At the heart of it Fugashin is a family-run business and family members own and manage their Saigon manufacturing arm. All technical expertise and training has been transferred from Japan. Most of the equipment used is from Italy or Germany. Shoes from Fugashin Saigon are sold all around the world, including major Japanese department stores, such as Takashimaya.

We have partnered with Fugashin Saigon to produce a line of quality leather shoes for the Australian gent. All of our lasts are made by Spring Line in England. Designs are created in concert with our U.K. based design team and Fugashin. All shoes are crafted using the labour-intensive Goodyear welt or stitchdown construction methods and made to Japan's rigorous quality control standards.
