Passion in shoemaking
In Japanese, the word 'fuga' is used to express traditional art sensitivity. To reflect the spirit of shoemaking, Fuga was combined with Shin (or passion). Fugashin Shoemakers is the perfect name for a shoemaker that prides itself on quality craftsmanship. Fugashin, like other Japanese shoemakers, brings a new level of artistry to footwear and in less than a decade, it has arguably become the best ready-to-wear shoemaker in the region.
Fugashin Shoemaker has workshops in Tokyo and Ho Chi Min. At the heart of it, Fugashin is a family-run business and their clean and well-run urban workshop has benefited immensely from the expertise and experience of the Japanese market.
All technical expertise and training has been transferred from Japan. Most of the tools used are from Italy or Germany. Shoes produced by Fugashin Saigon are sold all around the world, including major Japanese department stores.

TGC has partnered with Fugashin Shoemaker to produce the 2020 Collection. Our footwear is crafted using the labour-intensive Goodyear welt or Stitchdown (Veldtschoen) construction methods. Each shoe is meticulously made to a standard that Fugashin is proud to put its name on.
